As part of a greater effort to vitalize the region’s medical tourism industry, COENS, Inc., with the support of the Busan Tourism Organization, organized and led a Familiarization Tour in the city of

Busan. The group comprised members of seven Russian government agencies. These include the Public Roads and Redevelopment Administration, the Sakhalin Oblast Ministry of Sport, Tourism

and Youth Policy, the Directorate of the Kuril Islands Development Agency and the Russian Women’s Business Association. The members of these agencies were introduced to Busan’s peerless

medical infrastructure along with a number of its most charming locales.

At the Busan Bumin Hospital in Haeundae, members of the tour group experienced a comprehensive medical exam, before moving onto the Dongnam Institute of Radiological and Medical

Sciences, a leading developer of radiology technology. Here they toured the Institute’s Cancer Center to inspect its cutting-edge facilities and state-of-the-art technologies. The medical tour rounded

out with a trip to the Nunevit Eye Center, where  members of the tour group were provided free health consultation.

And since a tour of Busan would not be complete without a chance to take in its stunning landscapes and cultural attractions, members of the group completed their visit to Korea first by taking in the

unique scenery of the Gamcheon Culture Village, riding the Songdo Cable Car, and making a pilgrimage to Haedong Yonggungsa, a serene Buddhist temple on the ocean.

“This familiarization tour was designed to match the needs of the Russian delegation exactly, prepared with the on-the-ground circumstances of Russia in mind,” said Adam Lee, COENS’ Business

Development Division Director. “Through this kind of dedication to bespoke travel, we hope to better promote Busan’s high-levels of technology and enhance its status as the ultimate medical tourism

destination.”
